Sterling Silver

Transparency in the materials we use is our main concern. Here's everything you need to know about the silver we use when we make our Jewelry.

We would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have, please contact us.

Q: Is this made from Sterling Silver?

Yes!

Yes our silver jewelry is made from sterling silver or silver 925. In the United States sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% pure silver plus copper.

Q: Do you use Recycled Sterling Silver?

Yes!

All of our silver wire , sheets and casted parts come from refined precious metals, sourced from industries other than mining. Scraps are refined and recycled to meet a highly consistent standard and to make them suitable for use in jewelry.

Q: Do you use any protectors or sealers to prevent silver from tarnishing ?

Currently the only protector we use for sterling silver and oxidized silver is the Renaissance® wax paste. This wax was developed by the British Museum research laboratories to polish and preserve art work. This wax cleans, buffs, polishes and protects against tarnish, oils, dirt and fingerprints with just a small dab.

We are always researching & trying different products in order for our jewelry to be tarnish resistant and friendly for the skin.

Q: What is Oxidized Sterling Silver ?

A blackened or oxidized silver piece is sterling silver, however its surface has been intentionally darkened through a chemical process. Like other patinas, oxidized silver merely transforms the surface of the metal and does not change its internal structure or color.

Q: How to care for Sterling & Oxidized Silver Jewelry ?

Proper jewelry care is essential for extending the life of your jewelry. Even though you will love your piece and want to wear it constantly, it is important that you are aware of the environments that do not pose a good care for the jewelry. And that includes fine jewelry, solid sterling silver, 14K gold-filled jewelry, and gold-plated jewelry.
