What Porpe Artifacts is all about?
Porpe Artifacts is about designing and making unique jewelry for you, who want to be unconventional, artistic and passionate in an elegant way. Jewelry is about celebrating life, important moments and beauty.
We strongly believe that every piece of jewel is more than an accessory, it is something personal and has a story, your story, that is as unique as you.
Each jewel should be a lasting investment and, why not, pass it to the next generation, too.
We hope that you will find something amiable in our jewelry to connect and make it yours!

Locally owned, designed and made
Porpe Artifacts, is a small jewelry studio based in Sammamish, Washington, where we design, create, and make our jewelry collections in small productions, limited or one of a kind editions.
Most of our designs are carved on hard wax, or we explore soft wax where we can get beautiful details. These designs are then casted using the lost wax process. Other times we just work straight on the metal. We have an artistic approach to jewelry design and sometimes we combine different materials and different techniques to achieve what we want.
We use recycled metal or metal made in the USA and try to source everything in a conscientious way. We recycle all our metal scraps and do our best to ensure our home studio and production is safe and environmentally friendly by doing almost everything by hand or with the use of very light machinery.
We try to support other local businesses and that is why we source our supplies locally as much as we can.
Our casting and plating is done by experienced businesses based here in the US.
Meet Vicky Zomenou, the owner of Porpe Artifacts. She started learning metalsmith techniques and art jewelry in Athens around 2006. She also took free hand painting lessons for 4 years. Vicky originally studied computer science and innovation technology management. In 2014, after 25 years in the corporate world she decided to escape and in September 2016 she created Porpe Artifacts in order to pursue what she loved most, art jewelry. She lived in England travelled around Europe and now she lives in Seattle, WA.
“Art making, for me, is an escape from everyday life, and a safe place to be. When I am into the creative & making process, expressing myself in unique ways, experimenting, exploring, observing and learning is important. I get a lot of inspiration from nature, symbols and stories. I feel that, most of the times, my work is more sculptural, due to my Greek nature, and I love combining materials such as silk, stones, colors, wood, glass with metal, due to my love for contemporary design and urban style.”
When she doesn’t seat on her bench, she is having fun with her beautiful family or hikes around the beautiful area of Sammamish & Issaquah. She really loves travelling, books on self improvement, spirituality, mediation, art therapy and anything that lights her way to a better self!
Porpe’s Associates.. because 2 is a company
Mina and Vicky met during art jewelry classes so the love for art brought them together. Mina is working as a graphic designer, but she always had a love for art jewelry design-making and photography.
Mina is running her own graphic design business. In Mina’s words: “I challenge myself in creating different versions of the same theme. When I design I don’t prefer the perfect, flawless presentation of the object but the imperfection and the freedom of form. I combine different materials: silver, gold, brass, silk, enamels, stones, wood, leather, cotton…”
